Dr Tom Daly

MBBS (SYD), FRACS (General Surgery), FRACS (Vascular Surgery), DDU

Dr Daly is a vascular surgeon who is accredited at Westmead and Blacktown (public). He also works at both Westmead Private and Norwest Private Hospitals.

Dr Daly has an interest in all aspects of arterial and venous disease as well as the endovascular treatment of:
-Aortic Disease
-Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
-Management of chronic ulceration
-Diabetic foot
-Thoracic outlet syndrome
-Varicose vein treatment

Dr Daly has multiple publications on the endovascular management of both arterial and venous diseases and has been invited to national and international conferences to present on all aspects of vascular surgery, as well as proctoring in novel endovascular techniques.

Dr Daly is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney and also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Board of Vascular Surgery.

Dr Daly is committed to providing patients with the gold standard of  vascular ultrasound as the Medical Director for Westmead and Norwest Specialist Vascular Services.

Dr Tae Hyun Cho

MBBS BSC (Med)
FRACS (Vascular Surgery)

Dr Cho is an experienced vascular surgeon with a special interest in endovascular and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr Cho’s special interests include:
– Minimally invasive aortic surgery
– Aortic stent grafts
– Diabetic foot
– Varicose vein treatment
– Dialysis Access

He completed his medical training at University of New South Wales prior to receiving his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

During his training, worked at prestigious university teaching hospitals including Singapore General and Oxford University hospitals in the UK.

Dr Cho is currently a VMO at Westmead Hospital and holds appointments at Westmead Private, Blacktown, Auburn and the SAN hospitals. He consults at Westmead, Katoomba and The SAN.

He holds the position of Medtronic Proctor for their aortic stent grafts Australia wide and in Asia.
He also specializes in the surveillance and endovascular maintenance of dialysis access. 

Dr Cho also heads up the Westmead multidisciplinary ulcer/high risk foot clinic.

Assoc Prof Irwin Mohan

MBBS, MD, FRCS, FEBVS, FRCS (Vascular Surgery/General Surgery), FRACS

Associate Professor Irwin Mohan is a vascular surgeon whose special interests include:
-Carotid artery disease
-Aortic and peripheral aneurysms
-Peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
-Renal artery interventions
-Varicose veins and leg ulcers
-Diabetic vascular disease

A/Prof Irwin Mohan is a vascular and endovascular Surgeon. He trained at major vascular units in the United Kingdom, including St Mary’s Hospital London, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

He further trained in endovascular techniques at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and was  appointed as a consultant vascular surgeon at Manchester Royal Infirmary from 2001 to 2006.

A/Prof Irwin Mohan holds a public appointment at Westmead Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Sydney. 

A/Prof Mohan continues to be an examiner with the European Board of Vascular Surgery and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He is a reviewer for a number of international medical journals and operates at  Westmead Public and Private Hospitals, Norwest Private Hospital and SAN Hopital.

Assoc Prof Mauro Vicaretti

MBBS (Sydney), PhD (Sydney), FRACS (Vascular)

Associate Professor Mauro Vicaretti is an experienced vascular surgeon who specialises in all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of vascular surgery, arterial, venous and lymphatic conditions.

A/Prof Vicaretti’s special Interests include:
-Endovascular therapies for arterial disease
-Vascular graft infections
-Vascular biology
-Varicose vein treatment
-Endovascular therapies for arterial occlusive and aneurysmal disease
-Diabetic foot
– Venous thromboembolic disease

A/Prof Vicaretti is qualified through the RACS in General Surgery (1999) and Vascular Surgery (2001).

He is presently the Head of Vascular Surgery at Westmead Hospital and is an examiner of vascular surgery for the RACS.

A/Prof Vicaretti consults at Westmead Private and Norwest Private Hospitals and is also involved in the Vascular Biology Laboratory at Westmead Hospital and in vascular surgical education.
