Do I have to see one of your specialists first to get a vascular scan in your onsite vascular lab?

No – your GP can refer directly to the lab, rather than having to see the specialist first and then have to come back for your scan and back to the specialist again with the results.
All scans are bulk-billed, however if you need more than one ultrasound scan they will need to be done on different days to be eligible for a full Medicare rebate.

How long does it take to get in to see a vascular surgeon at your practice?

Our doctors aim to see all patients within three to four weeks and urgent patients will be triaged and seen urgently with a call from your GP or specialist.

What do I need to bring with me to my first appointment?
  • A current referral from your GP or specialist (unless this has already been forwarded to us)
  • A list of your medications and allergies (including natural preparations such as fish oil and turmeric)
  • Medicare or Veterans Affairs card and Private Health Insurance Card
  • Insurance information (Private Health, Workers Compensation)
  •  Previous X-Rays / CTs / MRIs
  • Copies of any medical notes or operation reports if you have had previous treatment / surgery.
  • Please note we have a vascular lab onsite. Your GP can refer directly to this.
Will you process my payment on the spot?

Yes. For consults we will process your rebate on receipt of payment and the remittance will be sent straight to your bank account and you should receive it within 1-2 business days.
If you wish to claim from Medicare directly you will to take your receipt to Medicare or do an online submission via the MyGov website.

What are acceptable means of payment?

Patients can pay by cash, credit card and EFTPOS.
NB. Amex is not accepted
